Bob Aellis has beautiful memories of growing up in New York doing things like going to the zoo with his dad. But when his father died and his older brother, William, returned home, Bob’s life became a hellscape, he says, as years of sexual abuse by William began. It took 60 years, but, in a story made for a Hollywood movie, Bob and his family members brought his brother to justice. This artwork by Hannah Hill was done for The Silver Linings Handbook for Episode 110 The Monster in the Closet: Recovering from and Stopping Child Sex Abuse with Bob Aellis.
